GPS Programs Presents
Josie Gonzales, a Texas Master Naturalist and author of our ethnobotany brochure, will take you on an educational hike along the nature trails in the Canyon Lake Gorge. You will be walking back in time during this hike to discover how indigenous people and cultural groups used native plants to provide medicine, fibers, dyes, soaps and more.
Meet at the Canyon Lake Gorge Visitor Center. The usual fee for the trail will be waived for current members of the Gorge Preservation Society. As a member you will be contacted one week prior to this activity being announced to the public.
